DUAL bumper-winner The Getaway Star will be tough to beat in today’s Limerick opener, the first division of the Pallaskenry Mares Maiden Hurdle.
The Queallys placed the Getaway mare to win bumpers in Fairyhouse and Cork and, although a couple of her hurdle efforts have been disappointing, she boasts a rating of 125 on the strength of some rock-solid displays against good-class opposition – form which makes her a stand-out in this company.
The six-year-old bumped into Royal Kahala at Fairyhouse in November, form boosted when the winner progressed to win the Solerina (Grade 3) on the same track.
