Hate mob torch car as Springwatch host lays zonked in bed

THUGS torched a Land Rover outside the home of TV's Chris Packham in a terrifying escalation of their hate campaign.

Springwatch host Chris says car exploded in an “inferno” as he lay tucked up in bed.

A man in a balaclava had parked the vehicle by the gate of Chris's home in the New Forest, torched it then fled in a getaway car.

Chris, 60, was alone when the arsonists struck on Friday night.

He told the Sunday Mirror: "I'd gone to bed, crashed out, zonked.

When it exploded, it went off with a massive bang which woke me and the dogs. It was an inferno.
