I’VE a sneaky feeling Donald Trump is a closeted Glasgow Rangers supporter.

Trump could be a closet Rangers fan.. he certainly has no love for Ireland

It would explain why he never showed any real gra for Ireland – unlike Joe Biden, who knew the latest GAA results when chatting with Micheal Martin recently.

Trump was perhaps too ashamed to admit he supports the Teddy Bears because he likes to only back winners.

He is the only American president in living memory not to forge strong links with Ireland.

Even Obama waxed lyrical about his Irish roots and sipped an obligatory Guinness – unlike Ronald Reagan, who slyly spat out his Smithwicks.

But teetotaller Trump – who is normally in bed by 6pm with a Burger King or McDonald’s meal – didn’t even have the decency to be snapped with a Mighty Mac and taco fries from Super Macs.

Joking aside, Biden’s victory is great news because he’ll stick up for us Irish underdogs against the British Bulldog on Brexit.

Biden famously cemented his credentials as an Irish hero when a British journalist fired a question at him and he quipped: “The BBC? I’m Irish.”
