India, China To Hold Regular Diplomatic Meets To Solve Issues

India and China will be holding more regular meetings at the foreign ministry level under the framework of Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination (WMCC) on India-China Border Affairs. While no date has been fixed, India Today TV has learnt that the next WMCC virtual meeting will be held soon.

While the third meeting of senior commanders was held in Chushul on Tuesday, the focus right now is to engage more at the functional level with the priority and focus remaining of de-escalation.

India Today TV has learnt that there would be engagement in various forms within the foreign ministry of India and China for officials to work out modalities and timeline for disengagement.

Sources said there was some forward movement on modalities at the corps commanders meet held on Tuesday.
