‘Modi Govt Has Mishandled Situation Along The LAC'

Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday accused the Narendra Modi-led government of mismanaging the border and pandemic crisis in the country.

At the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting held on Tuesday, Sonia Gandhi alleged that it was due to the wrong policies of the Centre that turned the border issue into a full-blown crisis at a time when the country has been hit by a economic crisis due to Covid pandemic.

The CWC meeting, attended by Dr Manmohan Singh, Rahul Gandhi among others began with two minutes of silence to pay homage to the Army soldiers who were killed in action at the LAC.

Misfortunes do not come singly. India has been hit by a terrible economic crisis, a pandemic of huge proportions and, now, by a full-blown crisis on the borders with China. Much of each crisis is attributable to the mismanagement of the BJP-led NDA government and the wrong policies pursued by it, Sonia Gandhi said.

Sonia Gandhi added, “The cumulative effect is widespread misery, fear, and danger to the security and territorial integrity of the country.”
