Only 20 can attend office, face-to-face meetings to be avoided, video calling the norm for discussions

The Centre has issued a set of guidelines to be followed by officials of the Govt of India in different departments and ministries as coronavirus cases continue to rise. In the SOPs issued, the Centre has said only 20 officials can attend office at a time while some senior officials who share cabins may have to alternate their schedule.

The new guidelines for government officials come after several officials at different departments in the government tested positive for coronavirus, including in the health ministry.

Face-to-face meetings are to be avoided as far as possible while the government has encouraged video conferencing, according to latest guidelines.
