A QUICK-THINKING resident tracked down a drug-addict burglar by using an app to find his stolen mobile phone, a court heard.
Prolific thief James Mitchell was caught red-handed when his victim traced him using Find My iPhone.
Police found him at a city hotel with some of the valuables he had stolen from the family home, Plymouth Crown Court heard yesterday.
Mitchell, just a couple of weeks out of jail for his last burglary, was so intoxicated on Valium that he could not recall what he had done. He was also caught with a computer tower he had stolen from the University of Plymouth, and he later admitted breaking into two cars.
