A total of 73,590 tests were carried out, including 62,812 RT-PCR/CBNAAT/True Nat tests and 10,778 rapid antigen tests, from which 1,796 returned positive results. In his New Year’s message on Friday, chief minister Arvind Kejriwal said, “Your government is taking all necessary steps to curb the spread. I am personally looking after the preparations and am very concerned about every resident. We have to stop the spread of Covid together.” He once again urged people not to go out of their homes unnecessarily, always wear a mask and get both doses of the vaccine.
“I pray to God that our country and the whole world get freedom from the pandemic as soon as possible,” the CM said in his message.
