Somehow one takes things lightly till the time they are not hit by the storm. Testing COVID positive was a turning point for me. Since that phase, I changed my eating habits and incorporated a few desi nuskhas into my diet like haldi wala doodh, kadha, and increased intake of vegetables, fruits and pulses so that I can build a good immune system. This is one healthy habit I plan to carry on for a long time to ensure good health and my own well-being.

MY STRATEGY: Keeping in mind the benefits of healthy eating will help me make a permanent change in my routine.

The COVID-19 pandemic has really hit us hard. However, it has also made many of us opt for healthy changes in our lifestyle, and find time for things we might never have had the opportunity to do before. “Being confined within the walls of our homes, each one of us went through a very different experience. This allowed us to take a step back and introspect the needs our body and mind might be signalling towards,” says wellness coach Arouba Kabir.

Studies have shown that a lot of people have shown increased indulgence in self-care practices with more involvement in physical fitness and mindful practices like meditation, therapeutic alternatives etc. People also took efforts to pursue their passion for baking, dancing, painting and things alike – as not only did it help them to pass their time but also instilled a sense of happiness.
