Diwali is all about grand celebra-tions, endless get-togethers, andindulging in delicious festive food. After the festivities, it’s time to slowly get back to our routine lives, which is not always easy. “When the days of festivities and socialising are over, the feeling of sadness reaches its peak. Fatigue sets in and our motivation to get to work, exercise dwindles. Moreover, our bodies reel from overindulging in food and beverages. However, it’s easy to tackle these blues if you have a positive outlook,” says psychologist Dr Pankaj Aggarwal.
RESET YOUR SLEEP SCHEDULE
During Diwali, a lot of us have late night card parties and get-togethers. However, too many late nights can lead to stress and dark circles. Hence, it’s best to focus on sleep and regain good health. “Post Diwali, make sure you get to bed at least half an hour to an hour earlier than you normally would. If you find it tough to get to bed early, try reading a book or listening to soft music at bedtime. That will help you to sleep better. This way, your mind, and body will feel relaxed, thus preparing to get back to the routine from the next day,” says wellness expert Manoj Kutteri.
