I constantly work on myself to stay relevant in changing times, says Karan Veer Mehra

Karan Veer Mehra, who is better remembered as Naren from Pavitra Rishta, was waiting for a good offer to come his way for almost a year after his last show, Tera Kya Hoga Alia went off the air.

He has now bagged an interesting role in Ziddi Dil Maane Na. Talking about his character, he says, “I am shooting on the same set where Alia... was shot, and using the same make-up room. So, the feeling is surreal. It’s a youth-based show with a mix of seasoned and new actors. Most of these seasoned actors are my friends. I was in talks with the makers to join the show in the beginning, but somehow the dates didn’t work out. But as luck would have it, I have become part of it eventually. I play Abhay, a very complex character, who is out-and-out black.”
