Why is it important to createawareness about stereoty-pes and inclusion of values among children from a very young age. Parents, of course, need to contribute significantly in raising an inclusive child by being role models through their own behaviours and actions. However, kids spend a significant amount of time in their schools and inclusion needs to go beyond merely following the RTE (right to education) guidelines of enrolling students from weaker economic sections, accessible infrastructure or the cultural programmes that children are encouraged to participate, which is a very cosmetic approach to inclusion.
