Family Workout While Doing Household Chores

This is a fun and engaging way to get children to share the responsibility of cleaning the house with parents. It is a great workout that can be done at home. The trash workout exercise serves two purposes – firstly, children will understand the concept of cleanliness and taking part in household chores. Secondly, it focuses on keeping one self fit - essential for well-being. Thirdly, when children and parents do these exercises together, there will be bonding in the family.

According to a study, mopping the floor of the entire home burns around 238 calories. To sweat out these many calories in the gym, you would need an hour on the exercise bike! Every household chore can be made into a fitness activity. However, these require basic, functional fitness to start with. Otherwise, one could end up with back aches, pain in the knees etc. The Trash Workout prepares the body for household chores and makes house cleaning a fun activity as you burn calories and improve fitness Online workshops and classes are conducted for ‘trash workout’. Here are some routines that you can start with.
