Don’t let heavy rain ruin your shoot. Lauren Scott shows you how to shoot dreamy lakeside reflections, even in bad weather
We’ve all seen the gorgeous postcard shots of perfectly still lakes, where the subject is reflected on the water in a golden light.

The hard part is planning and preparation beforehand to make sure you arrive at just the right time (and in the right conditions). Here, we were unlucky when we arrived at Slovenia’s beautiful Lake Bled. Despite checking the weather forecast in advance, the conditions had quickly turned from pastel clear skies to a rainy downpour. Fortunately we were still able to bag some serene shots by adapting our approach and technique.
