Back in business

If you are in the middle of dealing with your relocation to France, making some definite steps on the next steps of your ‘journey’ will be very welcome. During this interim period, make sure you attempt to improve your French language skills whenever you can. You will probably need to make telephone calls in French at some point so making sure that you can do that would be a brilliant use of your time.

I’m fully aware that studying French grammar and vocabulary may not be high on your list of ‘things-I-most-want-to-do’, but trust me, you will be so glad once you arrive if you can have a simple conversation, and even understand the reply!

That is assuming you will be endeavouring to earn a living here in France or, at the very least, want to be within the French system, for all the benefits that has, culturally, health-wise and even tax-wise.

We should say that an often-unrecognised benefit of being a French tax resident is that it normally means you will be paying less income tax on your worldwide income – which can’t be bad.

INITIAL ENQUIRIES

So, your research has shown that by registering a small, simple to operate business in France, you can at least safeguard the bulk of your capital, as well as pick up on the benefits of the French healthcare system – 70% of standard medical costs will be covered as a result of registering a business here.
