A SANSKRIT ANIMATION FILM ABOUT BEING TRUTHFUL AND LIVING IN HARMONY WITH NATURE
Ruchira Roy
PUNYAKOTI

An extraordinary encounter between a hunger tiger and a noble cow goes on to show that Truth prevails for those who live in truth.

Who doesn’t like a good animation film, right? And what if it happens to be the first full-length animation film in Sanskrit (!!!) about a beautiful cow mother (Punyakoti)? Nothing beats the joy of watching a home-made animation film, rich in color, folk art, scripted in a language as ancient as Sanskrit, pregnant with deep wisdom, telling a story of our land with a very relevant message for our times-the need to not just save but revere our nature, the wildlife, animals, forests and every form of life; the need to overcome greed; and the need to walk the path of truth.
