What does paradise look like for cyclists? A mountain road, surrounded by bright, barren rocky slopes or by beautiful, lush meadows fed by the warm air off the sea. A place where famous roads echo with the cheers of past glory and where hidden treasures are waiting to be discovered.
This is the Cuneo Alps, a region of towering titans and roads just like these, featuring some of the most epic climbs of the Giro d’Italia and Tour de France. There’s the Colle della Lombarda, rising to 2,351m and the French border and the Colle dell’Agnello, the third highest paved road in the Alps, whose 2,744m summit has been the highest point of the Tour de France and the Giro d’Italia two times apiece.
