All five of Celtic’s scorers against Ross County were on duty with their countries last week and Neil Lennon is delighted with that return

INTERNATIONAL NET PROFIT

CELTIC’S momentum was unaffected by the international break with the champions returning to action with an excellent performance in their 5-0 away win over Ross County in the league.

There were plenty of positives for Neil Lennon to reflect on after the game and the Celtic manager insisted there was far more to come from his side.

Celtic’s season has been interrupted more than once since the campaign kicked off a little more than six weeks ago. Despite the hurdles put in front of them, Neil Lennon’s side are showing signs of improvement with every game and, with a run of four league games before the international break, they will be determined to capitalise on the momentum they have started since returning to action at the weekend.

With 14 players representing their countries during the recent international double header, the potential of more injuries to the Celtic squad was unavoidable. Thankfully, they returned unscathed and, if anything, the game time looked to have benefited them.

Odsonne Edouard came off the bench for the France Under-21s to score his 11th goal in six appearances for Les Blues. Ryan Christie added to his international goal tally with a goal in each of Scotland’s games and new Bhoy Shane Duffy scored an important equaliser for Ireland while wearing the captain’s armband.
