MANOJ TIWARY – GAUTAM GAMBHIR SPAT

Gautam Gambhir has a habit of losing his patience easily and it was at forefront when the home team was playing against Bengal in one of the Ranji matches. After a fall of wicket Manoj Tiwary came to bat on the third day of the match. It is believed that he was taking his own sweet time in settling down at the crease which led to delay. This was enough to make Gautam Gambhir furious who without any provocation started abusing his rival captain Tiwary. It could have become nasty as Gambhir challenged Tiwary for a duel after the day’s play who replied in the same aggressive manner. The players and umpires had to intervene in order to control the situation. Gambhir was fined 70% of his match-fee for a level II offence while Tiwary was charged with level I offence and docked 40%.
