WANKHEDE STADIUM REVAMP - A FAN’S DELIGHT
Ahead of the 2011 World Cup, Wankhede Stadium was overhauled to provide better facilities to fans in terms of bucket seating, a large number of toilets, and food courts. One of the highlights of the revamped Wankhede Stadium is said to be the suspended cantilever roofs. The Teflon fabric roof is lighter in weight and is also heat resistant.
