Welshman gets dream M-Sport deal and will also do full BTRDA Series in a Fiesta R5
British Rally Championship frontrunner Matt Edwards will return to the championship in 2018 as an M-Sport driver, dovetailing the BRC with a full season in the BTRDA Rally Series.
Edwards finished third in the BRC last term in his first full season driving a Swift Rally Team Ford Fiesta R5, and took three second places during the season with co-driver Darren Garrod, who returns with Edwards for 2018.
This year the Welshman switches from Hankook to Pirelli tyres, and will drive for M-Sport with backing from long-term supporter Peter Smith, owner of Swift Caravans.
