Windows 10 Might Be Microsofts Best Os Yet, But That Doesnt Mean That Its Free From Problems. David Ludlow Helps You Solve The Most Irritating Issues.
Windows 10 is the best operating system Microsoft has produced. Now a few years old, it has matured into something more powerful and flexible than the original. But it’s also introduced several irritating issues and problems.
A few issues back we asked you for your help. We wanted to know what was wrong with Windows 10 and the biggest issues affecting the way you use your computers. Thanks to your letters, we’ve managed to put together a list of common problems and how to fix them.
By far the biggest problem was Windows Update. Problems ranged from the service not working properly to updates installing at the wrong time. As a result, we’ve focused a lot of this feature on fixing these problems and making Windows Update work for you.
We’ve also covered other problems, so by the time you’ve finished you should have a smoother, more reliable computer. It’s worth pointing out here that Windows 10 will occasionally undo fixes, reverting to standard behaviour and undoing changes. This particularly happens after a major update, so our advice is to keep this feature handy and check your settings after any major upgrades.
MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR COMPUTER
There’s a lot to be said for making abackup of your computer when it working optimally. That way, you can rollback your computer to a clean, working stage, undoing any damage that a recent hardware or software installation has done, including Windows Updates.
We think it’s best to avoid any Windows 10 backup options, and instead use the excellent and free Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows (tinyurl.com/veeamfreedownload). This software can take a complete image of your PC, saving it to a NAS or external hard disk. With an optional USB restore option, you can even fix a computer that won’t boot.
