For years, Samsung has been welcoming the new year with the launch of new Galaxy S phones and like clockwork, the Korean giant released the Galaxy S20 series this year. Why isn’t Samsung calling it the Galaxy S11 is a mystery that remains unsolved but when you compare with last year’s Galaxy S10, it’s a step up in every area with improved hardware and performance? This month, we take an in-depth look at the Galaxy S20+ that sits between the Galaxy S20 and the Galaxy S20 Ultra.
Samsung really upped its design game in the last few years and it shows with the Galaxy S20+. Although it’s more of an incremental design upgrade when you compare it with the previous Galaxy S generation, the phone boasts a nice, clean design and a good build. It’s slightly taller than the Galaxy S20 but smaller than the Galaxy S20 Ultra, making it the perfect size for a smartphone. The weight distribution is excellent and is curvier that makes the phone easy to use, even with one hand.
Just like previous Galaxy S phones, the Galaxy S20+ is also IP68 rated, which means the phone is resistant to dust and water to up to 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes. The volume buttons and power key are located on the right whereas the hybrid SIM slot is placed at the top. The bottom part of the phone features a loudspeaker and USB Type-C port.
