Take a peek into the verdant landscapes, vivid blues and vibrant sunshine that spill into Suniel and Mana Shetty’s splendid villa in Khandala.
For actor Suniel Shetty, his home in Khandala is the centre of a lot of fond memories. “My most extraordinary moments have happened here—watching our kids grow, enjoying the beauty of nature...” he says. The large hearted, dapper filmstar and his stylish, elegant entrepreneur wife Mana share a passion for the outdoors; and have shaped their dream home, nestled amidst the green garbed hills in Khandala (near Mumbai), together.
Their contemporary villa is a rich expression of Mana’s keen sense of aesthetics, fused with Suniel’s inclination towards the concept of green living, and architect Alan Abraham’s (actor John Abraham’s brother) expertise. “I often tease Suniel that he was probably a landscape artist in his past life,” laughs Mana. “His understanding of the technical aspects of structures has evolved remarkably over time,” she says, having grown up herself discussing blueprints with her father, the famous architect I.M. Kadri. Suniel and Mana’s cozy home unfurls across 6,300 sq. ft., through five bedrooms, arranged across two levels, and brings in a happy collusion of glass, water, sunshine and greenery.
