THIEVES are targeting unsuspecting people for their dreadlocks as they are in demand. As a result, many people who wear dreadlocks go around covering their heads in fear of becoming victims. With the tough economic times, criminals have found easy money. They rob people of their hair so that they can sell it.

PROFITABLE BUSINESS

It is tiring to grow dreadlocks as they take years to grow and are also costly to maintain.

Victim, Thabang Mngomezulu from Joburg, recently lost his dreadlocks at gun-point when he was accosted by three men who robbed him of his hair.
