WHEN Move! had a chat with Mzansi’s ‘it boy’ Lawrence Maleka, we did not expect to have a good laugh and an overall thrilling conversation with him. The 27-year-old from Soweto, who is usually in a suit and tie on screen, is far from the uptight guy we see on TV. In fact, he doesn’t think he is a big deal, but he actually is. His work in the entertainment industry bares evidence.
HOW INTERESTING IS HE?
Lawrence started his career as a TV presenter on community station, Soweto TV, which at first rejected him and because it hurt a little, he kept going back to the station until they gave him a try.
