IT’S nothing unusual when we hear about a clash of rappers. But to learn that gospel artists don’t like each other is shocking. This comes after gospel artist Sechaba Pali unleashed fury as he spoke about the evil going on in the gospel scene. Even though Sechaba didn’t name and shame, he didn’t spare anyone in his rant, attacking fans, pastors, artists and the whole gospel fraternity.

GOSPEL ARTISTS DO NOT LOVE EACH OTHER

A livid Sechaba, who was performing at Lundi Tyamara’s memorial service at Grace Bible Church in Soweto recently, expressed his frustration about the beef among gospel artists. He caused quite a stir when he revealed to the scores of mourners that gospel artists who preach the word of God actually don’t like each other.

“Gospel stars do not love each other, even kwaito stars love each other more than gospel stars do,”he angrily said.

Speaking about how gospel artists are exploited by industry bosses and companies, Sechaba said, “You exploit us and drag our names through the mud and say we drink alcohol, smoke dagga and use drugs. Yes we do those things.” He added that this is due to frustration as they (gospel artists) have families to take care of. He lambasted the audience saying that when gospel musicians die, people suddenly pretend to love them and cry fake tears at their funerals.

He went on to say, “We have deep stories that the public do not know.”

Sechaba clearly alluding that Lundi died poor said, “He used to perform at political events and after his fans have cried for him, he would also go home and cry because he would not have any food.”
