The kooky Actress has found her calm

Cameron Diaz enjoyed a Hollywood career few could dream of. Since bursting onto the scene in 1994’s The Mask, the gorgeous blonde racked up back-toback blockbusters, starring in classic films such as My Best Friend’s Wedding, There’s Something About Mary, Charlie’s Angels and The Sweetest Thing before turning her back on the industry in 2014.

Five years on from her shock decision to bid acting adieu, the 47-year-old’s adamant she made the right decision, saying she’s never been happier away from the spotlight.

“I started when I was 22, so 25 years ago – that’s a long time,” she says. “I’ve given more than half my life to the public. I feel it’s okay for me to take time for myself now to reorganise and choose how I want to come back. If I decide to.”

These days, Cameron is content at being holed up in her and husband Benji Madden’s Beverly Hills hideaway, or exploring her growing passion in the health and wellness arena. And while she hasn’t ruled out a return to the silver screen, it’s not something she’s craving to get back to.
