She’s supposed to enjoying a six-week break back in her home country, away from the pressures of royal life.
But Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, just can’t help herself – she’s still working on causes close to her heart.
While on her holiday in Los Angeles with husband Prince Harry and son Archie, Meghan (38) has been having secret meetings with LA-based PR adviser Keleigh Thomas Morgan on building a US strategy for the Sussex Foundation, which she has set up with Harry.
Keleigh has been helping Meghan with a fundraising drive and charity launch, even though the duchess has supposedly stepped back from royal duties during her time off.
“Meghan may officially be on her royal break, but don’t believe she is taking her foot off the gas,” says a source. “The break and Thanksgiving have been a time to balance the needs of her family, but you cannot underestimate what an incredible force Meghan is.”
The former actress became close to Keleigh when the PR executive represented her during her time on the TV series Suits. But while Keleigh is doing a lot of the groundwork, trying to drum up millions for the foundation, Meghan is very much “running things” and insists on complete creative control, says the insider.
Harry has been happy to hand over the reins to his wife, but still has his say when it comes to the foundation. The couple have been spreading awareness of causes they feel strongly about via their Instagram account while on holiday.
