HARRY AND MEGHAN
Prince Harry is deeply concerned about the health of his grandmother as the coronavirus takes hold in the UK, his wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, has revealed.
Meghan (38) told friends that Harry, who is in self-isolation with her and their son Archie in Canada after returning from their final UK engagements as senior royals, is worried about the 93-year-old Queen, and also his father, Prince Charles (71).
“He has urged them to stay safe and take extra precautions,” says a friend of Meghan’s. “Meghan says they are grateful, especially Harry, that they could spend time with his family before all this insanity began.”
Meghan and Harry had been expected to take Archie to Scotland in June to join the royal family for their summer holidays at Balmoral.
However, the pandemic might put paid to those plans, meaning the extended family may go for many months more without seeing Archie.
While Harry (35) feels helpless and isolated being in the middle of nowhere, he is grateful that at least he, Meghan and Archie can be together.
Meanwhile, the duchess is taking strict precautions to protect her little family, who are holed up in their rented waterfront mansion on Vancouver Island.
A source says she is insisting everyone on their team, including the staff who buy groceries and run errands, wear latex gloves at all times and follow hygiene protocols. Only a select few are allowed to interact with her, Harry and Archie. She is being very diligent about washing her hands and not touching her face, says the friend.
