Ruth is putting her husband Eamonn on a diet… and it’s not an easy task
We’re well used to Eamonn Holmes playfully ribbing wife Ruth Langsford when they present This Morning together, but it looks like the tables have finally turned.
From 59-year-old Ruth’s age to her weight, nothing is off limits when it comes to Eamonn’s jokes – but she recently managed to get her own back when a diet expert appeared on the popular ITV show.
Although they’re a couple who undoubtedly enjoy a bit of light-hearted banter at each other’s expense, it seems there could be a deeper meaning to Ruth’s latest comments, especially as they come after the expert warned Eamonn should lose weight or risk having a heart attack…
BREAKFAST BAN
During a This Morning segment with Alice Beer about breakfast cereals, Eamonn was shocked to learn what a recommended serving size of granola was – confessing that he prefers frosties and sugar puffs.
Alice warned Eamonn, ‘You’re going to put on weight if you eat those kind of cereals.’ ruth made her agreement very clear, adding a sarcastic, ‘no!’ and Eamonn refused to believe Alice when she showed him what a bowl of granola should look like, insisting he’d have at least double.
