See for YOURSELF

Jenny, sorry I’m late. I had to wait for the courier to deliver my prize. Look!’

My younger sister, Angela, brandished the latest model of a smartphone.

‘I was at a charity do last night and won this in the raffle. It’s all set up and working.’

‘As if you don’t have enough of phones at work!’

Angela’s been the receptionist at a trendy design studio for about five years. She sits behind her desk, answering the phone all day and looking gorgeous, greeting visitors with her beautiful smile, offering coffee and making them feel welcome.

But after hours, she goes to media events where she meets guys she’s seen on TV, and she is invited to the kind of parties that get reported in the papers. She says it’s her dream job and it suits her perfectly.

But I wouldn’t last a day there. I’m not a party person. I hate standing around making small talk.

The new phone beeped imperiously.

‘Hey! A message already!’

‘Congrats I knew u wd win, clever girl, love Mike,’ she read, looking puzzled. ‘I didn’t meet anyone at that party called Mike. He must have seen me and wants to link up.’

She wasn’t bragging. She just knew that most of the guys at the party would have loved to see more of her. But she was an old hand at dealing with enthusiastic men.

Angela has curly blonde hair, dark blue eyes and a figure that has attracted whistles from the time she gave up her Barbie dolls.
