As she continues to ruffle feathers on Emmerdale, we chat to actress Gaynor Faye about her latest storyline and why she’d love to return to Dancing On Ice as a judge
Within just two minutes of talking to Emmerdale star Gaynor Faye, who plays bolshie businesswoman Megan Macey, it’s clear she’s relishing every second of her time on the ITV soap. ‘It’s such a wonderful atmosphere,’ she beams.
Hardly surprising, considering the actress has landed some of the show’s most memorable storylines since joining the cast five years ago. And that’s not about to change, as this week Megan will set viewers’ tongues wagging again.
After discovering that her partner Frank Clayton cheated on her with arch-nemesis Charity Dingle, Megan has been planning her revenge. Viewers have seen her and Charity team up to scam an oblivious Frank, with the pair plotting to have him convicted of fraud. But just as Megan begins to get cold feet, Frank (played by Michael Praed) rumbles her – putting their relationship in jeopardy.
‘She doesn’t fare well with love, bless her!’ laughs Gaynor, before teasing what’s in store. ‘Megan had every intention of getting Frank back at the beginning, but when he starts to click as to what’s going on, she’s thinking, ‘What have I done?’ She finally realises she could potentially lose the love of her life.’
