Their divorce was one of the nastiest in Hollywood history, but Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have made a secret U-turn, promising to put the pain and hurt behind them for the sake of their six children.

As the ice finally thaws between the former couple, who were together for over a decade before their shock split last September, Woman’s Day can reveal that Angelina, 42, has made a special to gift to Brad – a $35 million home for her and their kids in walking distance from her ex-hubby’s own mansion.

“Angelina’s decision to buy a house in Los Feliz wasn’t just coincidence – it was part of a very conscious effort to enable her and the kids to be close to Brad and build bridges,” a source close to the actress tells. “After all the animosity, Ange is desperate to move forward and work towards having an amicable relationship with Brad. She is now totally committed to co-parenting and even hopes that eventually they’ll have shared vacations and Christmases.”
