Famous new mothers open up about their triumphs, challenges and top tips

Now she’s got two children, the Hits radio host, 32, says life is “all a bit of organised chaos”, not helped by the fact dad Marty Guptill has a packed international cricket schedule. Laura – who’s mum to Harley, three, and Teddy, five months – tells, “I try to get into a routine, but it doesn’t always work. I don’t keep them to a strict schedule at the moment – that would mean getting out of my pyjamas earlier in the morning and figuring out how to live without dry shampoo. Honestly, dry shampoo’s the best thing that’s ever been invented for new mums!”

When was the last time the Destiny’s Child singer had a full night’s sleep?

“December – before Noah got here,” the mum-of-two says, referring to her five-month-old son, a brother to six-year-old Titan. But Kelly, 40, adds that she’s loving singing for her son. “We literally just make up lullabies for him. My mother used to do that with me, so I just continue to do that.”

The wildlife lover, 22, is enjoying walking her three-month-old daughter Grace Warrior through the gardens of their home at Australia Zoo, revealing her little girl is always “giggling when we talk about all the animals we’re strolling by”. Bindi’s daughter also had her first koala encounter recently and the proud mum tells, “She was fascinated – and so was Milo, our darling koala. Too cute!”
