Kidding Around Isla Do What I What!

Life is never dull in the Fisher-Cohen household.

Isla Fisher has always been pretty clear about one thing – she isn’t into talking about her personal life. In 2016, she even shut down a live TV chat when she was questioned about her husband Sacha Baron Cohen, snapping, “He’s not here doing the interview.”

But it seems Isla has thawed, with the former Home and Away actress now revealing what life looks like as a mother-of-three navigating Hollywood, school runs and her marriage to Borat comedian Sacha.

She confides, “It’s a juggling act and most of the time I feel like the ball is just rolling on the ground – there’s not even one in the air – but I’ve realised how fortunate I am that I chose an occupation that is so family-friendly.

“Obviously you don’t want to pull tiny people out of school and drag them to the other end of Earth on a whim, just to play a role. But you’ve got a trailer on set and you can all be together in a way that you can’t be if you’re a doctor working long hours, or if you’re a nurse or teacher.”

Though Isla, 42, prefers to spend her free time kicking around the family’s sevenbedroom mansion in Los Angeles, Sacha, 46, recently insisted that they and their three children, Olive, 10, Elula, seven, and Montgomery, three, take a campervan holiday around our South Island.
