Its a magical day as the blissful bride ties the knot with her longtime love
But all eyes were firmly on the stunning princess bride as she married her prince charming, Jack Brooksbank, in a moving ceremony on a decidedly blustery and chilly day at Windsor Castle.
While their magical October 12 wedding had all the pomp and pageantry expected from a royal ceremony, it was also brimming with emotion and intimacy – and not even the gale-force winds that threatened guests’ hats and hemlines could derail the joy of this momentous historic occasion.
“You look perfect,” the groom uttered as he laid eyes on his bride for the first time at the altar. They could barely contain their feelings as they pledged their love to one another eight years after falling head over heels on a Swiss ski slope.
Held at St George’s Chapel, the same beautiful location where Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex wed just five months earlier, Eugenie, 28, and Jack’s special day began soon after 9am.
As faithful well-wishers braved the weather to line the streets with their Union Jack flags, the first of the 850 invited guests began filtering into the venue, its entrance adorned with a stunning autumnal floral arch.
While the star-studded guest list included supermodels Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Cara Delevingne, actress Liv Tyler, and pop stars Ricky Martin and James Blunt, it was the arrival of the royal family – including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and Harry and Meghan – that elicited the biggest cheers from the crowd.
They were soon followed by the groom and his groomsmen, all looking dashing in traditional morning suits, before the energetic arrival of Eugenie’s mother, the Duchess of York, with maid of honour Princess Beatrice, who was understated in an elegant deep blue dress.
