For an astonishing 13 years, Jennifer Aniston and her minders have done everything in their power to ensure she would never cross paths with Angelina Jolie, the woman she blamed for ending her marriage to Brad Pitt.

They might move in the same Hollywood circles, but amazingly, the love rivals have successfully avoided each other ever since Angelina’s alleged affair with Brad back in 2004.

However, Woman’s Day can exclusively reveal the actresses finally came face-to-face recently in a bombshell meeting that has left both women reeling – with Brad caught right in the middle!

“It’s a situation they’ve all dreaded for so long and it was just as tense as they’d feared,” reveals a source close to the former Friends star. “Both Jen and Ange turned up at Brad’s house at the same time. It was a terrible coincidence.”

We’re told Jennifer, 48, and Brad, 53, have become increasingly close since his shock divorce and custody battle. Worried about his mental state, the actor’s ex-wife was the first to reach out, and they’ve since enjoyed regular phone calls and even the occasional meet-up.

“They’re keen to keep it quiet, but they’re finally putting the hurtful past behind them and building a very strong friendship,” explains our source. “The romance is gone, but there’s still a lot of love there.”
