You need only five ingredients to make these simple crowd-pleasers.
ACTIVE 10 MIN., TOTAL 35 MIN., MAKES 12
1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
2 Tbsp tomato chutney
1 lb Italian sausage, casings removed
¼ cup fresh basil leaves
1 large egg, beaten
Sesame seeds, for sprinkling
1. Heat oven to 400°F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Unfold puff pastry and halve lengthwise. Spread 1 Tbsp tomato chutney onto each half, leaving ¾-in. border on each long side. Divide sausage in half and arrange down center of each pastry sheet, then top with basil.
3. Brush border with beaten egg and, starting at long ends, roll up, sealing each roll along brushed border.
4. Cut each roll crosswise into 6 pieces and arrange seam side down on pre pared baking sheet. Brush with beaten egg, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and bake until golden brown, 20 to 25 min.
