As parents we all wish we had a route map that would guarantee our child a successful future. Every parent wants their child to excel in life, be a well groomed and honest adult. There might not be a definite formula to actualise this wish, but we have enough scientific evidence to believe that parents and their parenting ways have a profound impact on how successful their children turn out.

Most parents are obsessed with academic excellence. In today’s competitive world, a good result is considered the only way a child can get ahead of others. It will surprise you that besides academic excellence there are certain other skills research identifies that a child’s successful future depends upon. Studies have also cautioned of overenthusiastic parenting and how unsuspectingly we might be doing our children a huge disfavour.
