The Volkswagen Virtus offers two distinctly different takes on the same recipe with the two engine choices; one of the many reasons why it is 'India's Favourite Sedan'

Style

The Virtus scores a lot of points on styling alone, with its classically Teutonic design. The long bonnet and the short boot contribute to a timeless proportion, and the strong shoulder line enhances the visual appeal when viewed from the side. The Virtus bucks the trend of low-set LED headlights with a separate DRL sitting at the bonnet level, and the lights are positioned classically. Those aforementioned shoulder lines are accentuated by 16-inch wheels, offered in silver or diamond-turned design for the 1.0 and classic silver or all-black finishes on the GT.

Build quality and safety

As mentioned earlier, the Virtus has traditional German build quality - we all know what the experience is like. The doors shut with a resounding thud and nary a squeak or rattle should rear their ugly head even after covering thousands of kilometres on the brutal terrains of the Indian subcontinent. Available with up to six airbags, the Virtus is one of the safest cars anywhere in the world, as it scored five stars in the Global NCAP for both adult- and child occupant protection, underlying Volkswagen's commitment to safety - the Virtus has more than 40 different active and passive safety features.
