Audi - Q4 e-tron

The mid-size crossover electric SUV from Audi should make it to India and sit pretty below the incoming Q8 e-tron. It measures just below 4.6 metres long and should be priced in the region of Rs 80 lakh if and when it arrives. There are 35, 40, 45, and 50 spec versions ranging from 170 to 299 hp, with only the Q4 35 e-tron not getting a quattro all-wheel-drive option..

Audi - Q8 e-tron

The newly introduced Q8 e-tron comes in to replace the hurriedly named e-tron, in both SUV and Sportback body-styles. The 4.9-metre-long Q8 e-tron is only slightly (71 millimetres) less long than the Q8 55 TFSI quattro combustion version. Drivelines stay the same but the 95-kWh battery is now only in the entry 50 quattro while the 55 and new SQ8 e-tron models use a new 114-kWh battery pack. Outputs are now up to 503 hp.

BMW - BMW X1 (and iX1)

The compact luxury segment will get yet another boost with another combustion electric pairing being introduced. The all-new X1 which, like its sibling, the 7 Series, was introduced with both combustion engines and fully electric versions simultaneously. While familiar four-cylinder engines are on offer with both sDrive and xDrive variants, the most powerful one is-you guessed it-the 313-hp iX1 xDrive30 electric model.

BMW - iX M60

Okay, the iX is already here. And, like some other German brand, we believe they didn't think ahead either. This X5-sized large SUV is already here as an xDrive40 but there are more versions overseas, including an M version with 619 hp and over 1,000 Nm of torque. Yes, it's 2.6 tonnes, so what? It has a 111.5-kWh battery pack and travels for over 550 kilometres on one charge.
