2024 Kia Seltos

If you’ve been a fan of Kia’s recent styling direction but don’t want to pay top dollar for it, the 2024 Kia Seltos is a great way to get a rolling piece of that design aesthetic at a reasonable price.

At this year’s SUV of the Year evaluation, the subcompact Kia wowed judges with not only its exterior looks but also its upscale interior and smart packaging. We liked the way it drove, too, but perhaps some of that budget pricing came through in overall ride comfort.

Looking at the refreshed Seltos, it’s clearly a seven-eighths-scale SUV that wears well the clean lines of its larger lineup mates. Its refresh brings an optional 10.3-inch gauge cluster screen, which includes a creative display option that shows greenery on either side of a road with blue skies. As the time of day changes, so does the display—a cool touch you don’t find everywhere else. Furthermore, the infotainment screen is bright and easy to read, though it’s a tad sluggish when responding to touch inputs. Thankfully, the Seltos also offers plenty of redundant hard buttons and switches.
