And some other good luck, too, in that both the BMW and the Boxster have flown through their MoT tests in the last month or two, most recently the Boxster - which I'll come back to.
There's little I enjoy more than a long drive with the roof down, and the BMW is superb in that respect, for those in the front seats at least. With fresh oil in the sump and a fresh ticket, it was time for a proper spring clean, then we set off to a lovely country pub south of Oxford. The occasion was Mrs W's birthday (below); eldest offspring joined us and we could hear her giggling from the back seat the whole way. This is what family-size convertibles are about.
