As the first ‘joint effort’ between Tata Motors and Land Rover to say so, the Harrier, based on the Discovery Sport’s D8 platform, buzzed the tower even before it reached the market. And when it first went on sale, back in early 2019, the Harrier set new benchmarks as a value-for-money premium SUV. Tata has been updating its SUVs at regular intervals and next in line after the Nexon is the Harrier, along with the Safari which you will read about in the following pages. And the good news is, you can now distinguish them apart without really needing to scratch your head! Being an aviation enthusiast, I chose to focus on the Harrier that gets a new look and more features, as part of what is its second midlife update to say so.
