The Kawasaki Ninja 400 has been a prime example of good things in small packages. It received rave reviews from enthusiasts and us journalists. Track fiends swore by its potency and ability to whip larger machines in corners. The Ninja 400 marks its return in BS6 guise with a few cosmetic and mechanical updates. Like before though, it comes at quite a premium. So should the Ninja 400 be ignored like a high-priced though aspirational commodity or loved for its manners?

Looks matter

The larger litre-class Kawasaki Ninjas have always impressed with their striking good looks, and despite retaining the same bodywork as its BS4 avatar, the Ninja 400 remains as good-looking as its larger siblings, thanks to the design cues being heavily inspired by the Ninja H2. The Ninja 400 looks large and can be easily mistaken for a 600cc supersport. It now gets a new Metallic Carbon Grey paint job while this previously-available Lime Green colourway gets new, subtler graphics.
