Ravi Lalwani: Which technologies have you chosen to dive deeper into, which are beyond your role as the CEO of your organization?
Gaurav Jalan: I am delving deeper into a couple of areas in technology which have significant impacts on the business. One area is the data storage layer on the cloud. As we know, lending tech is a very data-intensive space as we need to capture multiple data points of a customer to determine the right amount of credit limit we can provide for each customer. As the business grows, the cost of this storage grows exponentially, so it is important to understand the various use cases, query patterns, and retention characteristics of this data and choose the appropriate technologies for storing this data. For example, in some cases, RDBMStype databases make sense, while in others, NoSQL databases like MongoDB or DynamoDB make sense, and in some cases, blob storage like S3 makes sense. We also have to understand the access control features of each of these storage layers, and it is also important to be able to protect customer data.
