Figures from CB Insights show that Indian startups RAISED $2 BILLION in the first quarter of 2023, which is 75% lower that previous year and the smallest quarterly number in last three years. GLOBAL FACTORS have played a major role in affecting the investment climate in India since Indian startups have been far more reliant on FOREIGN CAPITAL. According to CB Insights only 271 Indian startups raised funding in Q1 2023, compared with 561 last year. Despite being a leading investor, SoftBank hasn't made any INVESTMENTS in India. During this environment maximum number of consumer TECH STARTUPS have gone ahead with securing funds.
