The news hit the investors like a truck, to know that the Big Bull, Rakesh Jnunjhunwala died of Cardiac Arrest, on August 14, 2022, at the age of 62. He was often referred to as the India’s Warren Buffett”. He was an investor with a midas touch. He is widely known for his knowledge and ability to make money continuously, regardless of the state of the market, be it a bull market or a bear market. He was a trader and a Chartered Accountant. He was the chairman of Hungama Media and Aptech and was on the board of directors of firms Prime Focus Ltd, Geojit Financial Services, Bilcare Limited, Praj Industries Ltd, Provogue India Ltd, Concord Biotech Ltd, Innovasynth Technologies Ltd, Mid-Day Multimedia Ltd, Nagarjuna Construction Company Ltd, Viceroy Hotels Ltd and Tops Security Ltd. He was also a member of the Board of Advisors of India’s International Movement to Unite Nations 1.1.M.U.N).

He started his investment journey with an initial investment of Rs. 5000 in 1985 and earned his major profit in 1986. At the time of his demise, he had an estimated net worth of 3.8 billion, making him the 438th richest person in the world.
