The round table conference, Framing the discussion-The future of manufacturing, presented by Manufacturing Today and sponsored by SAP, world's leading enterprise resource planning software vendor, saw leaders from the manufacturing industry engage in a discourse that was at once profound and incisive.

"India is set to take the lead in manufacturing, but does the world see us that way?" provokingly nudged Ramaswamy and instantly drew the gathering into combative claims for Indian manufacturing's place in the world given its continued rapid adoption of technology.
"India is marching ahead and it is scaring the world," retorted Dr Sanjeev Kumar, Head Of Business Development, Renishaw India. He saw the industry currently working at low productivity and believed that the possibility of an improvement of just 5% was scaring the world.
Improvement in productivity calls for adoption of new technologies. The panel widely agreed upon the rapid adoption of technologies in the manufacturing industry post COVID in India and increasing Industry 4.0 compliance across the manufacturing sector.
